VDOE K-12 Learning Acceleration Grant
In response to the educational setbacks and well-being challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Glenn Youngkin unveiled a significant initiative in March 2023. A total of $30 million in Learning Acceleration Grants has been made accessible to support eligible education services and address students' educational progress. The distribution of funds is outlined as follows:
- Each qualifying student, encompassing public, private, parochial, or home-school students in grades K-12 residing in Virginia and meeting the school-age requirements outlined in §22.1-1, Code of Virginia, will receive $1,500.
- Additionally, qualifying students whose family income is verified at 300% or less of the federal poverty level will be eligible for an enhanced grant of $3,000.
These grants aim to alleviate educational barriers and foster academic progress for students across the state. By empowering both educators and learners, we aspire to create a more equitable and supportive learning environment.
