Educational Coaches Private Homeschool is an innovative and progressive alternative learning environment that is dedicated to providing personalized education and support to students seeking an alternative to traditional schooling. We understand that every student has unique learning needs, and our team of experienced, certified teachers is committed to nurturing their individual strengths and interests. Our teachers work closely with students to create a customized curriculum that aligns with their learning style, academic goals, and personal aspirations. We offer a comprehensive range of educational programs, covering various subjects, grade levels, and learning approaches. Whether students are seeking an alternative to traditional schooling, need a temporary solution, or require specialized support, Educational Coaches is dedicated to providing a nurturing and empowering educational experience. We believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and we are committed to helping them unlock their full potential in a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Curriculum: (Grades K-7) We align with the Virginia Standards of Learning for our basic curriculum and use a variety of textbook and online publishers. (Grades 8-12) Students are enrolled with Penn Foster High School. Penn Foster is regionally and nationally accredited and is committed to preparing students to enter to workforce, enroll in a college or university, or join the military. Students graduate with a standard diploma and official transcript provided by Penn Foster. High school students must attend a minimum of 9 hours per week and are encouraged to attend more.
School Day and Calendar: 8am - 3pm
The school year runs concurrent with Chesapeake City Public Schools.
Homeschool Status: Educational Coaches will complete and file all necessary paperwork with the student's respective school division, including, the Notice of Intent (to homeschool) and yearly proof of progress.
